Stephen Travis Pope

Stephen Pope is a senior research specialist and composer at the
Center for Research in Electronic Art Technology (CREATE), in the Dept. of Music, UC Santa Barbara, lecturer in the UCSB Graduate Program in Media Arts and Technology, former editor-in-chief of Computer Music Journal (CMJ), published by the MIT Press, and a software developer and consultant through The Nomad Group.

He's only been using Smalltalk since 1983 or 1984. He was affiliated with Xerox PARC and ParcPlace Systems, Inc from 1986-94 and is the author of several Smalltalk-based packages for music and sound processing. He is also still an active composer; listen here.
