Different kernels:
  • xen/2.6.16-xen-BPA - xen HV + linux kernel with BigPhysArea patch. This patch is required to run gtixp kernel module if host memory access from IXP is required.
  • 2.6.9-11.ELsmp - Stock RHEL4 kernel.
  • 2.6.9-42.0.2.ELsmp - Stock RHEL4 kernel (recent).
  • 2.6.13.1-BPA - Stock linux kernel with BPA patch.

Recent Updates:
  • The 'eth1' interface of all ilab machines is now connected to the gigabit switch, so finally there is full gigabit bandwidth between ilabs and ixps.
  • BIOS was updated on ilab9 and ilab15 from A15 to A20.
  • DRAC configuration: IP address of ilabN's DRAC module is 192.168.1.(N-8), e.g. for ilab15 it is 192.168.1.7. Currently the DRAC is only configured for ilab9 and ilab15.
