Back story: The book Freakonomics: A rogue economist explores the hidden side of everything (http://www.freakonomics.com/) by Steven D. Levitt and Stphen J. Dubner is a NY Times Bestseller that uses economic methods for studying social questions. In the six weeks of this class, we'll:
- Read each of the six chapters
- Learn social science methods used in that chapter
- Learn computer science tools for implementing that method on live data
