Note from Shankara Kuppa, part of the Decision Technologies Group at Union Pacific Railroad:
==============================================================================================
...
We are representing the Information Technologies department at Union Pacific Railroad, headquartered in Omaha, NE. Union Pacific Railroad is a highly successful Fortune 200 company operating in 23 states west of the Mississippi. We are North America's largest railroad and are consistently recognized as the most admired railroad.
Aside from being a great company to work for, it is a very exciting time to work in Information Technologies at Union Pacific as we are undergoing a major capital effort to replace our 30-year old mainframe based Transportation Control System. We are building the system of the future from the ground up utilizing the latest technologies, development tools, and approaches.
Union Pacific is committed to establishing a long-term and mutually beneficial relationship with George Tech. Due to the major capital project efforts at Union Pacific, we need high quality and talented people to carry Union Pacific into the future and we know Georgia Tech can provide the caliber of talent we are looking to hire.
We would appreciate any assistance you might be able to provide to spread the word for students to visit with us at the Career Fair on Monday, September 8th. Additionally, any faculty, students, or organization contacts who we can speak to for getting the word out about our company and the opportunities would be greatly appreciated given our new exposure for Georgia Tech.
And finally, we would appreciate the opportunity to meet you while we are campus for the Career Fair, September 8th. Please drop by the fair if you have the opportunity and visit with us.
With regards,
Shankara
