Questions
Ok, so I'm kind of new to the Mac platform in general, much less OS X. One thing that I've noticed is that when I install new applications, my list of Applications in the Explorer doesn't change. In other words, I go to the Application folder and try to play with the nifty new Gizmo program that I just installed. It's not there. If I start up a terminal and cd to the correct location, it IS there. If I log out of my box and log back in, the view of the Application folder is refreshed and I can play with Gizmo to my heart's content. Is there a "Refresh your view" option (a la the evil Windows OS) that I'm missing when I examine the menus available to me? Am I doing something Horribly Horribly Wrong?
Help!
Dan
It is probably putting your new item at the END of the folder listing. Not in alpabetical order. Scroll to the bottom and you should find your new toys. Also, just chose to resort the window and it should work also. No, there is no F5 like in Windows...
Good luck,
Jason
