RoboticsPapers

Here is a list of some robotics references that may be useful to the
project. The first two describe some probabilistic algorithms in
robotics. The first, which some of you have hard-copies of, explains
Monte Carlo (particle filter) robot localization. The first two
sections of this paper introducing the basic particle filter are the
most relevant. The second is a broader survey of probabilistic
algorithms in robotics, for instance, algorithms for simultaneous
localization and mapping.

"Adapting the sample size in particle filters through KLD-sampling", Fox

"Probabilistic Algorithms in Robotics", Thrun

The following papers are some relevant power-aware robotics papers I
have come across. The first paper talks about using mobile robots to
deliver energy to members of a sensor network. The second talks about
a similar technique, but within the specific context of a robot that
cares for plants and the wireless sensors that monitor them. Both use
the idea that mobile robots can act as mobile recharging stations.

"PlantCare: An Investigation in Practical Ubiquitous Systems", LaMarca
