Here is an article comparing it to TRIZ:

Here is a book available at the Georgia Tech library:

Here is a short blurb on its history, definition, and how it is used:

Here is another book in the library:

PDA stuff: I actually program on an iPaq in the Design of Operating Systems class - so I have some experience with that. I can also ask him if he could point me in the direction of someone in the CoC that is very knowledgable of that kind of stuff..
Internet being down - I'm almost positive that I sent in a help request regarding our loss of internet connection at the office - but I'm not completely sure if I did. Would you mind sending one just in case?? Just say that both our Mac's network connections are broken - and that it appears that their nameserver is down (they both share the same nameserver)..
On the N. Network stuff - I was thinking that maybe a language like Matlab or Maple would be appropriate?? Im not exactly sure how you would want to use the application - so I don't know if Matlab would work or not...

I need for you to upload and chmod the latest version of the FCPro document "Interviews v.106" – am pretty sure of the number, and very sure it is on the Office Mac. Please email me a heads up when you get this done.
Also, send me your schedule for this week, if you please.

- rename juggling.mov to balancing.mov and put it in movie/ folder
- choose which feather movie we need, rename it to just feather.mov, delete the remaining feather movies from the movies/ folder
- we need to add chrsCont to teachingStrategies/balancingActs.html. it's a bit involved in that we need to creat rollover images, preload code, another html page. if you can't follow my code from other pages similiar to this, then don't worry about it, i'll do it tomorrow

- edTran.mov and woodieFL.mov need to be re-exported to the correct 240x180 size. Currently, edTran.mov is too small and woodieFL.mov is too big. Thanks Cliff.

B. Research Tasks
5.20.03 Call Gutman Library re tests on file (or reference books that catalog) that measure metacognition. Let them know you have one – MAI - Metacog Assessment Inventory. If they ask, say that you work for an alum, who will call directly if needed.
(SEE NOTES) 12.3.02 Doug Prime wanted contact information on where he can get copies of all of the NSF model curricula that he might share with teachers: Challenges In Physical Science (check Phil Sadler or the publisher) and Design It! (check EDC under Bernie Zubrowski name)
(SEE NOTES 12.3.02) 11.27.02 Find any articles by Marcia Linn on using controversies with teachers in prof devel settings. Look up best review article by Marcia Linn at UC-Berkeley concerning the use of contraversies in students' learning of science.

5.20.03 Collect all articles/files from my NARST 03 trip on Nature of Science tests, and related articles. This will include a DVD disk, which I'd like you to print out the key documents from. Please put this into a vertical file named "Nature of Science Tests"
11.28.02 Help me find the tape with footage of the Johnson-Laird talk at its end. I think it was tacked onto the end of some classroom footage. Search the GaTeech website for the date of the talk, and then look at tapes made up to three 3 weeks before that date. Hands over the third tape when found.
