• suggested placement of "Transcript" button
• finished timeline and scene selection graphics for new QT poster interface
• began work on redesigning menu33/othrMar.htm with clickable buttons for each circula
• uploaded new movies to the production area and dev/ directory

• finished redsigning menu33/othrMat.htm and created 4 new tutorials for each book
• created new Professional Development Planner page (menu33/profPlnr.htm)
• wrote appropiate javascript for links between opener and openee window
• began work on designing new drop down selection on home page
• burned a disk of latest work and gave it to Cliff

• created Transcript button and added it to appropiate pages (excluding timeline due to layout issues)
• added 3rd row to menu33/profPlnr.htm and fixed pdf launch link

• cleaned up dev/ site files on lab MAC
• deleted entire dev/ site on server and replaced it with most recent, cleaned version from lab MAC
• added 4th & 5th rows to menu33/profPlnr.htm
• Went thru the site and fixed a bunch of new-line tags, pdfIcons, misc slight coding errors fixed

• check the following tutorials for overlapping-text/layout issues (either fix yourself or instruct me how/what to fix):
  • menu31/tutorial.htm - Parachute Tutorial
  • menu31/whatDsg.htm - What Is Design? Tutorial
  • menu32/stand.htm - There is still a stand/ tutorial directory, but it is not linked to. I thought it was supposed to be linked to from here. Not sure if this was left out deliberately or not.
  • menu33/tapeMov.htm - Taping Class Tutorial - Page 4 (Post-Production) has nothing on it. ALso, the tutorial window is titled "Shooting Your Own Movies" while every link refers to it as "Taping Your Own Class", do you want the title of the tutorial window changed?
  • menu33/othrMat.htm - All 3 tutorials need content

• Need the following Caption images:
  • images/posterCaptions/goodChalC.gif
  • images/posterCaptions/whatHardC.gif

• Need the following Poster movies:
  • posters/whatHardP.mov

• 2 article names are still needed on the menu33/profPlnr.htm page. Also 3 sections have no content yet.
• Went thru site using NEtscape 4.77 and did not see any problems with the posters not showing up. Please check this on the machine you saw it happen originally and let me know if problem still exists and specific pages if it does.
• uploaded everything to server under dev/

• gave Cliff list of missing caption and poster images. Put them all up once I got them from him
• changed closeWindow button to fit style of DITC banner better
• began replacing all form buttons with new closeWindow button
• changed transcript icon to include Adobe Acrabat icon and updated site
• moved Design Process tutorial from menu12/ldes.htm to menu32/whatDsg.htm
• continuing to check site for any minor errors that need fixing and correcting those

• the following links off the movielist.htm page do not work. Their QT poster coutnerparts works fine, but for some reason, there's a problem when they are embedded in the movFiles/ HTML pages like that. These are the only two movies that have this problem. All others work fine. I checked the HTML code, it's right. Don't know if it's a QT or HTML issue.

• took off Powerful Questions from the movielist.htm because no movie existed for it
• checked the site on both Netscape 4.77 and IE 6.0. Except for the two movies error on the movielist.htm page, everything worked fine. Still need those transcript pdfs as well.

• created an "Internet Users Please Read" button on home page (home.htm & index.htm)
  • the button links to internetUsers.htm page which describes how to get better quality videos by emailing you for a free CD (please check text)
• need a new banner for "Internet Users" page (internetUsers.htm). Save this banner as images/banners/internetUsers.gif
• check DITC/dev/movielist2.htm for example of new 3-icon layout
  • the links do not work, it's simply for layout purposes
• Who We Are page suggestions
  • a short description of project team in general on top
  • small, sqaure pic of each team member. Perhaps a bit larger than the movie poster images, but keep them similar to keep continuity throughout site.
  • short description of each person's duties to right of pic. Contact information is optional. You mihgt want to leave this out if you want people to only contact you on this project (they might email one of the video guys if they had a video question for example).
    • (in addition to this, I suggest a "Contact Us" page that list your email and mailing address in case others have questions/comments. All webpages should have contact info)
• Thanks and Acknowledgements page suggestions
  • a short thank you message to the schools/teachers/etc.
  • any books or other materials used should be listed here
  • if any of the above have a website, there should be a link to it
  • you could integrate this to the bottom of the Who We Are page
• researched using a link to download QT movie files

  • Do you have an older file of the DITC main menu log and text that's a bit cleaner then what I have? The logo looks like crap being so pixelated like that. I could fix that easily, but I need a clean file to start with. Thanks.
