PhotoShop To Do

DITC Swiki

7.23.04
1. Take digital photo of Rules of Thumb poster and place it in page 2-2-3.
2. Find an image from the Clip Art collection of a 19th century product, from which students can infer specfications – could be a bike, a girdle, or a baby carriage. Then find a newer version of this, so that students can infer what new specifications were addressed by the new product.

7.20.04
1. Find art for a Product History - say an old 19th century safety bike, and a new one. See designProcess/designPedagogy/productHistory.html.
2. Find all instances of Video Timelines on DITC. Make the instructions at the bottom of the clickable Timeline uniform. For instance, the parachute science timeline "Click the Day You Want to visit" needs to be made similar to the text in the timeline for Shopping Bag, which reads "Click on the Day You Want to Visit". In addition, all need to have a uniform appearance – I prefer what you created with the instructions for clicking on the icons for the types of shopping bags.
3. In the art found on page 2-4-1, "strings.gif" should have a "Figure 3" in bold font, similar to Figure 2, and the text immediatley below it read, "Stress is a concentration of load." (only the first word is capitalized).DONE Not done from what I see on the website – DC

7.3.04
5. Put the following text in the left-most images of the Video Timeline for Shopping Bag – the top row should read "Teacher Workshop" and the bottom row should be "'8th-Grade Students". Also, could you change the gray text with instructions below the images to read "Click On Phase You Want To View"
6. Find the art for the Product Comparison page (3-2-7) and add the following caption: "Figure 1 - Using products of widely different designs (see jar openers above) makes for a more interesting product comparison."
7. Can you leave notes on Swiki re where files are located, and create a PSD file with the red circle that appears in figure 1 and 2 on page 2-4-2 that could be used in other pieces of art. this was done, it's images/shopbag/redCircle.psd
