To any editor that comes in tomorrow check over movies in Goldman HD and ref movies 8.15.02 folder. Make sure changes were made. Show to David.

{8.10.02-JA}On Goldman Feb 01v67

I have several movies compressing on the 1Ghz Machine and the LABMAC
which are located in Goldman HD & Bridget HD In a folder that will have the name: comp8.10.02 or something of the sort.
Some Sequences on the last page of TO DO LIST Still need to be completed, such as ProbHW, etc. It would help me out if you [david] could possibly locate the source footage that should be included in these sequences, including the Graphics that need to be scanned for DesignInq.mov.

{8.8.02-JA}On Goldman Feb 01v65

Compressed Janet and WoodyFlowers seq along with several Goldman Sequence.
Started Compression on Bryan's 4 sequences(Goldman)
David should be able to find Janet and Woody and others from this evening compression on 1 Ghz machine in Bridget HD In folder with today's date Named: something like comp(8.8.02)

{8.7.02-JA} Ok, we are on Goldman Feb'01v65.

I believe we are now setting up 2 types of Compressions:
1. Normal Size- use the Goldman 6.22.02 cleaner file for this, and
2. Smaller Size- which will be determined tomorrow. I am using SWrkDay1v.2 as the practice file to see which data rate will be best for transfering files over the internet.
Latest settings for Cleaner for Downloadable movies should start below 10 KB/S.
(Note: When creating different Compression Schemes, change only one variable: i.e. the DataRate, Do not Change DataRate and Image size, change one setting at a time and label properly.)
Also before movie files are movied to Cleaner change name to match the name of its setting so that we can easily fiqure out which is which.
To Everyone(Video Editors) There is a packet of To Do's in LabMac. I have signed and initailed what I have Done. You may start on the other assignments once the red starred sequences are completed
Note: When adding Watermarks and Timecodes be sure that you overwrite and not insert (inserting cause every clip thereafter to move down, creating gaps.)
WaterMark and Timecode should be placed under Video Tracks w/text but be above Video Tracks w/Video.
I have also createdd 3 effects in the browser bin called 3d titles, these effects are to be used @ the end of the sequence, they are our copyright logo's (Note: The one that has the title copyright in it has a scale animation in it so do not cut it short when applying to sequence. -You can use DesignInq as an example to follow for using this effect.
P.S. Need help? There is Cleaner 5 Manuel in LabMac Shelf, it's staple by chaphters so be careful not to lose any sections please this is my personal copy. (Which also means if you're going to take it out of the office please tell me or david.)

{8.6.02-JA} Ok, we are on Goldman Feb'01v65.

We also have a Bridget HD Now which is on the 1Ghz machine, There are some Exported movies on it that can be deleted after the machine has compressed the goldman movies I compressed over the night. Save the SWrkDay1.v2 file that is the only one that needs to stay for now.

(to clarify just incase: KB/s = Kilobytes/seconds)
1.SWrkDay1.v2-Setting is downloadable10-which means that this files is transfering at 10KB/s
2.-setting is downloadable18.9-this one was recommended by cleaner and it is transfering @ 18.9 KB/s
3.-setting is downloadable25-this one is transferring @ 25 KB/s
I Need someone tomorrow to look at these files in their compressed form and send me an email indicating file size and setting name.(jeremiahadams@hotmail.com) I will be checking my email hourly tomorrow.
If anyone would like to continue my exploration of practice files please do so. The file size that we are looking for should be bigger than 5mb and have image size no bigger than 190x120 (SMALLER IS BETTER IN THIS CASE!?!)
I have also compressed SWrkDay1.v2 with 3 different settings on the LabMac, Please email me the total file size and names as well.

{8.4.02-DC} General Instructions For Updating Video Edit Swiki

Whenever you change the version number of any project, please indicate this is the swiki page for video editing (http://swiki.cc.gatech.edu:8080/DITC). When you start each day, please check the version number noted in the latest log, and then search for the next higher version number on the computer, just to insure that work will not be lost by working on the earlier version.

{8.3.02-DC} Checking Audio Level in All Movies

I need someone to review all of the videos for sound level, and then inform an editor to change the levels. Volunteer needed.

{8.2.02-MS} Spelling Errors in Designing.mov

There are 2 spelling errors in Designing.mov
  1. In the title at 0:02, the last spelling of science is incorrect.
  2. In the last part of the movie (3:42) mathematical is spelled incorrectly.
