We need to do even more with the documents that we display in DITC. I think we need a page in Using DITC on documents held in it, and ways to use them. Here were Al's initial comments:

DITC provides documents of various sorts for teachers in its website and disk-based HTML versions of the program. These include selected Student Materials and Teacher Handbooks from curricula sampled in DITC’s list of selected design tasks, and short research articles on educational topics that were discussed in DITC’s text and movies. The purpose of the links to the documents that usually appear under a page’s movie screen (e.g. “Investigations of Paper Structures”) was not obvious. It was not clear what these links are for, when to use them, and in what order. Should the documents be read while watching the movie, before or afterwards, or during a design activity?

It was suggested that the title of each page document should be accompanied with a description of its purpose and when it might best be used, and that the link title should be used as a subheading of each paragraph describing the linked document. At the time of this review, this was implemented in selected DITC pages in Model Parachute section.
