ArchNote Swiki
Welcome to Architecture Reading Notes !!! !
You can read and edit whatever interested to you on this page. Lets involved.
Currenty, we have Guru Prasadh(guru[AT]cc) and Jianli Shen (jianli[AT]cc) stick on this page.
We will hold weekly discussion on Papers in Computer Architecture area and take notes for each paper!
Detailed schedule and Papers will come soon :-)
When: every Friday 2:30-3:30pm (after arch-beer or go on arch-beer)
Where: DARTS room or outside CoC if sunshine.
Plan:
top: welcome to propose interested paper by any of you.
first: paper from latest ISCA(05,04) Micro(05, 04)
then: dig into older valuable papers.
Put paper in corresponding topic:

TLS:
CMP:
SMP:
Scheduling:
Dominator-Path Scheduling A Global Scheduling Method (micro 1992) (17 citations)
Week 1::(guru)
Security:
We will start with our own field, security in architecture from isca05. let us plan for 3 papers, the first 3 from the proceedings.
1.Architecture for Protecting Critical Secrets in Microprocessors
2.High Efficiency Counter Mode Security Architecture via Prediction and Precomputation
3.Design and Implementation of the AEGIS Single-Chip Secure Processor Using Physical Random Functions
minutes:
we talked most in the first paper. and skipped 2 & 3.
Week 2::(jianli)
We will do the Load/Store session, jianli shall be familiar with it(do you?). lets focus on amir's paper.
Althoug milos recommend me read the first paper, I found the second is more easy reading and well written.
The first one just make me give up.
We will also try to talk about various architecture parameters they use to see if make sense or they just use it to "make" Paper:-(
