4dcities.exe

Downloads:

Standard (GTK) Version: 4dcities.tar.gz
OpenGL Version (for local machines): 4dcitiesGL.tar.gz

Use the Standard (GTK) Version if you are working remotely on the thunderbirds, but if you are working in our lab, try the faster OpenGL version. (It is likely the OpenGL version will even work remotely – if you feel adventurous please try it and let us know.)

Instructions:

  1. Download the executable above, then use "gunzip" and "tar -xvf" to extract it.
  2. In the directory from which you plan to run 4dcities.exe, create a symbolic link to our data directory:
     ln -s /net/hp223/borg/data/ data
  3. Download the .mdl file that has been assigned to you: mdl files for all
  4. Run the executable (always add ipp to your path first, e.g. with "source ipp", just like with zeroskews) with your testSet##.mdl file as an argument:
     ./4dcities.exe testSet##.mdl
  5. Align some of your images – see detailed interface instructions for each view below, and labeled Pictures of the 12 Buildings.
