3D Plane Reconstruction

1. Stereo from Uncalibrated Cameras - Richard Hartley, Rajiv Gupta and Tom Chang - 1992
It is involved in getting the 3D point coordinates from two views taken with uncalibrated cameras. It assumes that the essential matrix is known which maps the two images.

2. 3D Reconstruction Based on Homography Matrix - Zhongfei Zhang, Allen R. Hanson - 1995
This is involved in estimating the unknown rotation and translation factors associated with a moving camera taking pictures. It also gives the Math involved in this process.

3. A method for Interactive 3D Reconstruction of Piecewise planar objects from Single Images - Peter Sturm and Stephen Maybank - 1999
Here user input of parallel lines and planar regions is obtained from a single image and this is used to reconstruct the 3D planes.

4. On Plane-Based Camera Calibration: A general algorithm, singularities and application - Peter Sturm and Stephen Maybank - 1999
This paper presents an algorithm to identify the camera parameters from homographies linking two or more views of the object taken with the same camera. The paper also provides an extension to different cameras (where the focal length and u0,v0 are different).

5. Structure and Motion from Two Uncalibrated Views using Points on Planes - Adrien Bartoli, Peter Sturm, Radu Horaud - 2001
This paper basically constructs homography matrix and reconstructs 3D planes piecewise given the epipolar information about the cameras

6. Constrained Structure and Motion from N views of a piecewise planar scene - Adrien Bartoli, Peter Sturm - 2001
This paper estimates the structure and motion of cameras from N views of a rigid scene using MLE (Maximum Likelihood Estimation)

7. Detecting Planes in an Uncalibrated Image Pair - Manolis Lourakis, Antonis A. Argyros and Stelios c. Orphanoudakis - 2002
The images taken with an uncalibrated camera can be obtained with a matching between point and line features

8. Generalized use of Homographies for Piecewise Planar Reconstruction - Konrad Schindler - 2003
This uses the 3D planar geometry and the relationship between two views of the object to identify the planar regions in the images
