Sony PTZ Camera

The Sony PTZ camera is controlled through VISCA, a serial (RS-232) interface. The video output from the camera is Composite NTSC. The output is connected to a video capture card.

Currently Ryan is working on the VISCA control, and Thomas Shanks is working on linux video capture support, including tuners. Support for the capture card is expected to be made available independently of the PTZ camera. Any further information on the video capture card support can be found at Video Capture Devices.
