Distillation Column Verbal Description
The problem I am posing here is to build a dynamic simulation of a simple binary distillation column. The model should proceed through the following steps:
distillation tray model—> distillation column model
The mathematical model we will follow is presented by Tom Marlin in his book "Process Control", the specific model can be found in Chapter 5 p158-162.
Distillation Tray Mathematical Model This model is worked out here and requires that someone take it and code it up in MATLAB or simulink.
Distillation Column Mathematical Model This one is not worked out and requires that someone develop the equations for the complete column as opposed to a single tray.
