Andrea Grimes
I'm a 1st year Human-Centered Computing Ph.D. student in the College of Computing. I'm a part of the work2play laboratory and my current advisor is Beki Grinter.
I am interested in the social and cultural implications of computing. In my current research I'm looking at how African-American culture influences nutrition and how technology can be designed to support good dietary habits.
I'm originally from San Jose, CA and I went to undergrad at Northeastern Univ. in Boston, MA.
My interests outside of school are largely music-related (singing, going to shows, etc.). I also really like the show 24, and watch it religously. :)
