185 is a line game, which means all improvers involved stand in a line while the director gets suggestions from the audience. (It can also be used as a warmup by having all players stand in a circle or some such.) Upon receiving a suggestion for a noun, the players must come up with as many bad puns starting with "185 NOUNs walk into a bar. The bartender says 'Sorry, we don't serve NOUNs here.' The NOUNs say..." until a new suggestion is taken.

Note the emphasis on BAD jokes. If they're good jokes, that's fine, but getting the entire audience to groan in unison is just as good.

222 Variant

Instead of the entire mantra, you just say the "222 NOUNs walk into a bar..." and then add your bad punchline / joke. This variation tends to be easier for beginners.
