Babies mit Bearden

Babies mit Bearden is a three-man long form troupe. The three men are Damian Dunn, Brad Kloth, and Mike Brune. They have successfully managed to entertain laymen and impress fellow improvisers with their work. It is fresh, straight, and somewhat kind of groundbreaking-like.

The Basement

Down in The Basement, we are committed (or at least we should be) to bringing you quality entertainment. Our shows are 100% original material (most of the time) that is inspired by our wonderful audiences through suggestions. We use your suggestions to inspire us as we go through a multitude of difficult and fun theatre games to build scenes for you! So, now sit back and enjoy! The Code

The CODE from Dirty South Improv in Chapel Hill, NC is excited to have the opportunity to perform at the Black Box Improv Festival 2004 in September. The CODE is a DSI house team that performs the Harold at regular DSI shows. Our typical show evolves organically out of a sound and movement piece inspired by an audience suggestion and builds off the themes explored in this opening. We recently completed a month-long run of Harold shows for DSI and are preparing for another weekly August run.

Dad's Garage

Dad's Garage is a casual theatre in Atlanta where you can get a drink, sit with your friends, and watch award-winning Comedy Improv and never-before-seen plays¡| theatre in America is often thought of as elitist and Dad¡¯s Garage is a perfect example of artists working to change that label. We do the kind of theatre we would want to see. Our improv shows are made up on the spot, our mainstage shows are all innovative and original, and our children's show is the only one of its kind being done. When we're on stage, there are few boundaries and hardly any rules. We believe in taking chances. The riskier, the better.

Dirty South Improv

DSI has entertained audiences across the country with an energetic and extremely commited take on improvisational theater for the past three years. With business operations in North Carolina and Chicago, two critically acclaimed touring shows, a growing college improv network, and a national festival, DSI continues to be more than just another comedy group. We are recognized for the development, promotion and performance of the art of improvisation.

Ideaprov

Nashville's only improv entertaining & training improv company. Performing for over 50,000 fans in North America since 1996, they have played venues as diverse as Riverstages, The RCA Dome, Chicago's ComedySportz and Atlanta's Six Flag's Theme Park. JaCKPie

JaCKPie was created by Chris Pierce and Jim Karwisch and debuted in 2001 as Atlanta¡¯s first two-man improv show with the goals of offering Atlanta a look at the ¡°growing edge¡± of improvisation and representing Atlanta at national improvisation festivals. JaCKPie has appeared on several local stages including Art Place, PushPush, Peachtree Playhouse, Horizon Theatre, and MASK Theatre, and on the national scene at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Chicago Improv Festival and the Atlanta Improv Festival. Karwisch and Pierce have also produced and directed several other improv shows including Chicago Red Line, Vesuvius and The Position, and taught improvisation workshops in Atlanta and Nashville. Laughing Matters is Atlanta's longest running improvisational comedy troupe. We've performed for thousands of groups since 1985 and have been voted Atlanta's best improv troupe by Atlanta Magazine! Let's Try This!

Let's Try This is the offical theatre improv troupe of DramaTech. The troupe was formed in the summer of 1989, inspired by workshops taught by Robert Lowe, who has remained a constant source of help and inspiration to us. As our name suggests we will try many things, from games to short scenes to long-form to what-in-the-world-was-that? We have many directors with different styles amougst ourselves making our shows quite diverse, however we all share a common belief in being in the moment and making our partners perfect.

Mock Turtle Soup

Mock Turtle Soup is Clemson's oh-so-G-rated improv troupe. We enjoy short form, long form, and also execute several underground theatre events every year entertaining (or possibly scaring) literally dozens of people on campus. During the summer, we teach improvisational theatre workshops for middle/high school students. We are totally excited about performing at the Blackbox Festival and thank Let's Try This for hosting this fabulous event!

Rathskellar

Rathskellar is Emory's one and only improv comedy troup. For almost thirty years now, Rathskellar has performed for the Emory community and in the Atlanta area. The troupe consists of Emory undergraduate students. Each spring break Rathskellar tours other cities to work with professional and student improv troupes. Rathskellar has worked with Second City & Upright Citizens Brigade among others in past years.
