You can use this to step through a recursive problem and show the call stacks. I recommend that you stop at each step and ask the students what the answer will be. You can also show any Java program executing and follow along with what is happening.

The Institute for Computing Education (ICE) is proud to host an Advanded Placement Preparation workshop on Wednesday March 17th, 2010 from 8:00am - 4:30pm at GA Tech. Teachers must attend the entire workshop and do 2 hours of additional work on or on the AP database to get 1 PLU. All teachers must register at Georgia public school teachers must also register at for workshop CTAERN2882.

This workshop is for teachers who are currently teaching AP CS A. It will help you prepare your students for the AP CS A exam. It will cover: tips for the exam, practice exam material, GridWorld, Greenfoot, advanced OO concepts, 2D arrays, recursion, and more.

This workshop is free for Georgia teachers, and if you live > 30 miles from Georgia Tech we will pay for your hotel for Friday night (2 teachers per room), Friday night dinner, and Sat breakfast. If you would prefer a private room you can pay 1/2 the hotel cost. We will cover parking for Georgia teachers who stay at the hotel and reimburse parking for Georgia teachers who do not stay at the hotel. We will pay for lunch for all teachers. Space is limited to 30.

Please bring a laptop if you have one, or notify us if you need to borrow a laptop.
