Current Links: Cases Final Project Summer 2007
(note: this was an individual assignment)
In Milestone 1 we had to come up with a list of how-to topics and create two classes for a help repository - TaskInstructions and HelpRepository. TaskInstructions was to contain instructions for a particular task and HelpRepository was to contain the set of instructions.
This milestone presented us with a dual challenge - 1)actual coding, and 2)interacting with the Squeak environment. Since we were new at squeak, several seemingly obvious things presented themselves as challenges (and gave us a little inspiration for our task list):
- what tool do i use to do the actual coding?
- how do you create a class? a method?
- how do i run my code?
- how do you save your work?
Seriously, don't laugh at these questions. These are actual obstacles that you will face during the first week of programming. These tasks will become part of your programming routine as you are magically transformed from a No-Star to an All-Star.
