F02 Final Exam Review: Networked Barbie Game
a) have different types of general walks (ie strut, limp, wobble, catwalk, crawl, slither) and basic person features (ie arm, leg, head, breasts) – you could use these basic attributes with specific dimensions to make a unique figure.
b) squeak, becuase it is cross platform and has great multimedia (and never crashes or has hard to navigate systems)
c) sequence diagram, becuase you can watch the object interact with the system.
a) Localize the rendering of the models. Pass only changed information to the model.
b) Java. Portable, secure, robust, easily maintainable, easily customizeable (for possible future plugins).
c) State diagram: Shows the state of the "party" in certain specific situations (since you will be unable to show everything that could possibly happen, simplify it by looking at specific classes and see how they change).
a. "We're downloading 3-D models of Barbie and all her guests, and it's taking a horrendously long time. Is there anything that we can do to reduce that time?"
Slim down Barbie's "dimensions" to something more reasonable, thus reducing her download time.
