Yea I thought we needed more time. I don't think I was able to explain some things sufficiently enough (3rd page) because I was in a hurry.

That was the easiest test that I ever took, bring it on Guzdial!!

Definitely more time was needed to take the midterm. None of the concepts were too difficult to work through HAD WE HAD THE FULL HOUR that we are supposed to get.

Guys seriously don't worry about running out of time! We understand and it will be taken into account when grading. So, I'm glad everybody feels like they did good! Have a great weekend!

Oh, man. I misinterpreted the first problem page as a reference page, and I didn't do the problem there. Ugh. (Hitting head on wall). Also, I don't think the html code that portrays the most recent message from the soapbox would react too kindly to a reassortment of the messages.

it really sucks that my grade on the midterm with question 5 being worth less points is lower than it would have been with the original points distribution. since i did the review and knew how to do question 5 i did not leave it until the end and feel like i am getting the unfair advantage because of other people's problems with time.

Ok, so like you know when you close the door of the refridgerator the light goes out? There are these little buttons that are pushed to make this happen. Similarly, on a laptop, there is a button that when the lid is closed, the screen goes dark. My button keeps getting stuck. How do I fix it? I think WD-40 would work. . .

On the last midterm review, there were some questions asking irrelevant material, ie., things that would not be on the exam. Is this the case on this midterm review, because, if it is, I think it would be good to know so we can study only the relevant material. Thanks.

This midterm review is WAYYYY too long and has WAYYY too much stuff.

Here is a tip: Look at all of the questions on the midterm and classify them by type (mirroring, tracing, splicing, etc). Then make sure you can do each type of problem. This should make the the Review Sheet a bit more do-able. If you need help, feel free to stop by my office hours tomorrow before the exam! Brittany Selden

The Take Home Exam is actually possible! After working on it for a while I finally got it tonight.Lecture was awesome, it really helped me out.

That's funny, I go to lecture everyday as well and i'm still hopelessly lost.

Change of LOCATION for my office hours TODAY: I will be in the DM Smith computer lab (DM Smith Building across from the library, room 204...it says something like "buzz card access only"). Is it anyway possible to move hw6 to the monday after thanksgiving.. I know alot of us are swamped with work this week and have tests next week. Having a hw due on a shortened week is kinda rough.. The long weekend will be probably the only time alot of us can get to work on it...please?

Does anybody know how many points the final is worth? The grading page says that the 2 midterms and the final are worth 35% of our grade. Is the final worth 100 points like to 2 midterms?

My guess is 150. 100+100+150 = 350 and 35% is the amount of our grade...
So pretty much if you somehow have a 105 average you can just skip the final and still get an A.

Temporary Fix for MovieMaker:
Write out your frames using 3 digits instead of 2, so frame01 would be frame001. I think there's a problem with the two digit parsing, which I'll try to fix by this afternoon so you can post QT movies to the gallery if you so choose. Adam Wilson

By the way, did anybody get really fast execution times for making the movie frames? My movie was 4 sec at 90 frames and it took about that much time to create all those frames upon program execution.

Okay- A few years ago I had no proof that God existed. Then I found proof through an event that happened to me. Inspired Faith is my proof that God is here, and that He should be a person's focus.

Personally, I don't think that UGA gives a crap about us. They aren't threatened by us and have much better competition to worry about. We like to think that the Tech/UGA game is huge, but I don't think they give us a second thought!

I've heard the same thing. But I've been on their campus and they care. 5th ranked rivalry nationally, actually. It's not as passionate because we haven't had incredibly ranked teams at the same time. On a side note, Michigan wouldn't give Georgia a second thought. Sorry, didn't mean to delete that last post.

We keep being told to see our TA if we have grading issues...how do we know if we have grading issues if all the grades are not posted? I know they are students too, but it's now Thursday and our exam is Monday, and I don't know what I have in the class...this is kind of frustrating!

That grade program is very commendable, but I noticed that when you sit down and calculate your grades the conventional way, the numbers come out with decimals, while the program seems to only take the whole number by itself. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just curious to know so that I can get the most accurate "almost" grade possible. Thanks!

Life after cs1315? PrimePalindromes Program I wrote to find palindromic primes... Why? I'm done with finals and had a few moments to waste. Well, graduation sure was a blast...even if it did take three full hours...

Man...We, generously including the other freshman out there, just graduated from high school. We got a long way to go again :( But at least stupid high school is over. At least we're learning interesting stuff now. So there's really no reason to complain. Congratulations and good luck to you.
