So, what do we think of HTML?
Of using Python to generate HTML?
Of web pages and movies and Halloween, oh my?

Works for me, but you could also create a page on the Etc. or Personals page. I can't help with the drummer and bass player, but I do know a harmonica player who's learning guitar! (I bought myself a guitar for my birthday. Slowly developing those calluses on the left hand so that I can play chords less painfully...) Mark Guzdial

how do you know what to do with the update zip file once you download it? I downloaded the big file..since I have a fast internet connection and then I did not know whether to save the zipped folder or just chose to open it. and once I do open the zipped folder, what do I do with it? Do I need to delete my old version of Jes..or just keep both saved to my hard drive?

Did you go to recitation tonight? Or perhaps come to lecture and see me do it at the 1 pm lecture?

Follow the directions on the Course Software (JES) page – you have to EXECUTE the downloaded .exe file, then click the Unzip button. You keep your same JES file – it just makes it better. Mark Guzdial

If you download the big one, the JES directory that the zip file spits out is a REPLACEMENT for your old JES directory. You can delete, modify, sacrifice, or yell at your old copy. It is used in the exact same way, except it works better :). If you download the small one that ends with .exe, ONLY THEN do you have to do anything special.

Thanks for providing code for HW4. I found it a major necessity because I would have been lost if we started from scratch. Recitation is also a big help for those who don't understand homework. I basically walked out last night with hw done, just not in JES.

i agree thanks for the code in class! ive never written html in my life before so trying to understand 2 codes at once can be pretty rough

Why not try to write the HTML in a file FIRST and make sure that you understand that before trying to write the program to GENERATE the HTML? Mark Guzdial
