| I didn't quite understand that: "how fast I will have to develop these simple code manipulations to use in modern applications"? Are you saying that you'll have to learn alot for the test? Or that we're not teaching you enough to write modern applications? Or that this is too simple? I welcome constructive criticism and feedback – could you try again to express your discouragement? | I'm sorry that you're bored. Perhaps you should consider taking CS1321 instead. This class is aimed at people who have had no prior programming experience at all. Are others finding it too slow? I can certainly pick up the pace and cover more content, if everyone is feeling that it's too easy. Mark Guzdial |
| We're going over distance, pixel manipulation, and posterizing this week in recitation. Recitation is recommended. There's a quiz Wednesday, Sept. 10 so recitation is your chance to review the material and ask questions. Angela Liang |
| Thanks for the feedback on the pace. Recitation last night and tonight is on the turnin process and posterizing. If you don't need help with either, you're probably safe skipping. Mark Guzdial |
| You're probably fine. SoBig.F sends out emails with FAKED SENDER addresses. If you've RECEIVED any SoBig.F emails, then there are also some virus-ridden email going out with YOUR EMAIL as the SENDER. When those emails get detected, YOU get the response, even though you didn't really send the note. If you have antivirus software installed, you're probably okay. Mark Guzdial |
