About Me

I’m a Computer Science major with a minor in Film and Media Studies. I consider myself a nerd and a nice guy at heart, although I don’t wear a pocket protector, and I do step out into the sunlight from time to time.

Academics

I enjoy programming and am especially interested in the application of computer science to the fields of graphics, digital media and scientific modeling. I also have a secondary interest in robotics. In addition to my undergraduate degree, I'm currently pursuing studies in astronomy, film and science fiction.

Hobbies

When I'm not studying, I work as the Vice President of the Georgia Tech Astronomy Club and do some web development on the side for the Blueprint. During my free time, I enjoy reading novels and watching Star Trek and Futurama pisodes and often throw parties centered around the former show. I also collect Spider-Man comic books and watch http://www.homestarrunner.com with alarming frequency, and I've just started trying my hand at D&D. I'm also an avid writer and post semi-regularly to my CoC weblog at http://blogs.cc.gatech.edu/joshua/.
