NO!!!!! More homework assignments exponentially increases the burden on the TAs to grade. More e-mails to the TAs give a bigger chance that important e-mails like "change my grade!" will be lost. This is all in my opinion as a TA that's been around for a while :) But good suggestion! Amanda Bennett
That's an idea. We give the quizzes to try to get feedback from you guys on how you're doing in the class. Any other suggestions on how we can do this? Amanda Bennett
We're still trying to figure out what works best. Amanda Bennett
We don't know at this point whether the grades will be posted to Webwork. Its upto the professors. - Bobby Mathew
They should all be graded tomorrow. - Bobby Mathew
Answers will not be posted. - Bobby Mathew
| Yes. We actually did one pop quiz fewer than we had originally intended, but we promised to drop one and that's what we'll do. Anybody with an excused absence for a class when we had a pop quiz will have that pop quiz grade dropped as well and the remaining pop quizzes will be averaged for the overall pop quiz grade. | No one was in Monica's class, she didn't teach CS1315 this semester. I think she said that she was going to talk to Mark and Colin and see if she could get them to add it as an extra pop quiz. -Brittany Duncan |
Mark or me, depending on who was the professor for your section. Colin Potts
It is true for all the 1315 classes this semester that the final exam will be 45% if it is above the average of your two midterm grades. If you need to talk about your final exam grade, e-mail Albert (albert [at] gatech.edu). Thanks for a great semester guys! -Brittany Duncan
Yes. Explained above. Colin Potts
The A/B split is at 89.5%. We dropped all the grading boundaries slightly to wherever there was a genuine gap between students. This means that no one should have a letter grade lower than someone else who has a total only 0.1% larger. Colin Potts
It should be officially part of your transcript now. Ignore Webwork and consult OSCAR for your letter grade. Colin Potts
