Summer 2006 Lab 4 Questions

Questions:

how serious do we have to take this? i found a completely stupid article relating to technology and kinda made fun of it, it still includes the tech part and the research but has animations making fun of it. is that ok?

Yeah, that should be fine if its from a legitimate source. - Bobby Mathew

is there a way to imbed the pics into the presentation or how are they going to transfer wtih the power point presentation?

In powerpoint, you can do 'Insert' and then 'Picture' and then select the picture 'from file'. If you do that, the images will transfer over. - Bobby Mathew

and PS, you dont have to save a picture from the internet to use it in your presentation, insert from file -> then put in the internet address

are you guys expecting a works cited page?

Yeah, it would be nice if you could have one of those, or just a list of websites that you got your info from. But that doesn't count to your slides, you still need a minimum of 7 more. - Bobby Mathew

so does that mean we need to have 7-10 slides of actual information? or does the title slide, picture slide, whatever we use the drawing toolbar for a slide count towards those 7?

Only the works cited page (if you decide to put one) doesn't count. Everything else like title slides, pictures etc. does count. - Bobby Mathew

are we going to get in trouble for paraphrasing?

No, just have a references page and put that text in quotes. Also don't publish this presentation anywhere. - Bobby Mathew

I don't have Microsoft Powerpoint on my computer, I have the Open Office version which can save files in a Powerpoint format. I am familiar with both, and the variation between programs is not much. Is it ok to use Open Office as long as the file is saved in a MS Powerpoint format?
