Tim Maher’s Homepage

Welcome to chez
Tim Maher.

Please wait to be seated.

email me:gte980z

This is a picture of me with my baby. We're apart
right now, but after this semester, we will be reunited.

Now to find out about me.
  • My band of choice is Metallica.
  • My author of choice is Hemmingway.
  • My favorite architect is Oscar Niemeyer of Brazil.
  • I only made it up to level 8 on Mt. Fugi when I lived in Japan. One of my lifelong goals is to go back and reach the top.
  • My dad is in the Air Force (ret.)
  • My mom plays golf
  • My older sister works for the CIA
  • My older brother is in the Army
  • My little sister will graduate high school this year and is currently getting ready to go to Wake Forest
(Whew, I was able to warn her about Tech in time)

  • Best quote ever (especially for someone taking 20 credit hours)
"This is true courage in man: to bear unflinchingly whatever heaven sends." Euripedes

  • Another good one:
"No man is an island entire of it self. Every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the Maine.
If a Clod be washed away by the Sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a Promontory were,
as well as if a Mannor of thy friends or of thine own were;
any man's death diminishes me because I am involved in Mankind.
Therefore, never send to know for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for thee..."
John Donne

Architecture
is the bestest major here at Tech.
Why else do you think I skip all of my other classes and spend my days (and nights) in studio.
{sarcasm} Besides, the stools there are so incredibly comfortable. I never ever get sore from sitting on them. {/sarcasm}

The reason why I speak of getting sore is because I'm training for this:

Yep, gonna start in the city of San Fran and bike my way across the country to DC. This will all be taking place in the summer of 2004. And the best part is, its all for a good cause. Find out all you'll ever need to know about Journey of Hope at their website.

I am from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, hands down the most beautiful place in the world.
I know people have said the same about where they live, but really, they're just lying to themselves and you.

The water is so clear and the white sand is so pure, never any rocks or shells to step on.

You spot dolphins all the time in the spring and summer.
Ask me about the time my friends and I were attacked by a mother and baby dolphin 50 feet offshore.
Now that was a crazy adventure

This is me doing a "team-building exercise" at PUSH camp over Spring Break. We were all blindfolded and had to tag/peg each other with balls. Yours truly was the last man standing.

(And No, I didn't peek)

One last pic (where my inspiration comes from): I don't know who did it, only that he is Brazilian.
I did not work with anyone on das website.
