Soapbox - Summer 2005

WOO HOO
ITS OVER

When will we find out our grade?

when are ya'll going to post the final exam grades?!
We are not posting the final exam grades. You should have your final grade by looking at Oscar. If you are interested, you can speak to your professor to get your exam grade. Kelly Lyons

Don't clear what's already been said, all you have to do is add an underscore after the previous entry (as shown here). If there happens to be an official announcement in the bubble, please be considerate and let it stay visible until it's out of date.

To edit this bubble, click on the python and then click edit. Be nice.

Its so nice not having summer classes!!!!!

Yay!! Campus is quiet.
...unless you spend all your on-campus time in the vicinity of the new CoC construction site.

Happy <s>Friday</s>!! Saturday

FooFoo!

What do you do if you get a decimal value for calculating an RGB value? Like
1011.1
is 111.1... do you round up or down?
Truncate. (Basically always round down)Kelly Lyons
^ you should come to class on tuesday!
You can truncate a number with a decimal point in it like this: int(5.5) <- that would yield 5 – Monica

Homework 2 is out. Happy coding!
Exam on Friday–ahhhhhhh!!!!

After which I'll hang out in the library 2nd floor west from 8 to 11. If you need last minute help cramming for the test, come give me a visit. (and remember, parking next to the library is free after 5PM)
-Blake>Blake O'Hare

This was a glitch in Internet Explorer, and because I nor the other TA's use Internet Explorer we didn't know about it. I apologize for the confusion, but if you see anything "weird" like that again on the CoWeb, please please please let one of us know. Again, I apologize if this threw you off. Have a nice weekend.
-Blake>Blake O'Hare

<s>Happy 4th of July!</s>
Happy 6th of July!
Review for Friday's exam is posted below.

I will be in the library <s>tomorrow</s> tonight from 8 to midnight for fun last-minute-cramming time. I will be on either the first or second floor west.
-Blake>Blake O'Hare

As you post responses to the exam review page, keep in mind that indention spaces in your code will be ignored. If you don't want this to happen, you can either surround your code with <code> and </code> tags, or you can use &nbsp; in the place of a space. Also, to keep your asterisks from turning into CoWeb links, use &star; and less than signs can be generated with &lt;

Homework 5 has been officially announced on the announcements page. Now(after the test) go read, reread, parse, and make a movie of aforementioned announcements page.Dannon Baker

Homework 6 has been released. Have fun.Dannon Baker
Come on Robin, to the Announcements Cave!!

Can anyone beat my best time for this game on level 10? If you can, I'll give you a prize on Monday.

Please have some questions ready to ask when you come to class!

My office hours tomorrow (Wed) will be moved to 2-5 in the same place, College of Computing Commons. After tomorrow, I will be available for office hours by appointment basically all the time until the final. Just send me an email and we can set something up. Kelly Lyons
I will be having my usual office hours this week should anyone need extra help before finals. Also, feel free to drop by and ask about grades if you have any questions. All grades (for my section) will be posted sometime today. Dannon Baker
I will NOT be having my usual office hours this week as I will be in a final during the scheduled office hour time. However, I will be wandering around the library/CCB all week studying, so I will be availble by appointment pretty much anytime. -Blake
Clarification- My original intent was to have my 2 hour block office hours on Tuesday this week, but not the one hour block on Monday, I have a final Tuesday morning. Grades will still be up today though. Dannon Baker

Remember, I'm available by appointment any time for the rest of the day. Blake
Good luck!

My office hours for next week are canceled. -Blake
