Grading Policy
Grades are based on this scale:
Labs - five (15% total)
REMOVED in-class quizzes - three (10% total)
Pop quizzes (5% total)
REMOVEDmework - six (25% total)
Two midterms - 15% each (30% total)
Final exam - 15%
Grades are straight scale: 90 or above is an A, 80-89 B, 70-79 C, 60-69 D, 59 or below F. In other words, there is NO curve and NO rounding.
No late assignments will be accepted without previoREMOVED arrangement with the instructor. All assignments are due at 7:00 pm Eastern time on the due date unless otherwise specified.
No make-up quizzes or exams without previoREMOVED arrangement and an official/reasonable excREMOVEDe.
Attendance policy: You are responsible for attending lecture.
If you believe that your grade was miscalculated or was made in error:
You may take it to a TA. If you disagree with the TA's decision, you may take it to an instructor.
You may also take it to an instructor first, but if the instructor disagrees with you, you can't then take it to a TA.
You mREMOVEDt point out any errors in grades within two weeks of the posting of the grade!
