Outdoor/nature activities

• Mt. Washington in New Hampshire. This peak (part of the White mountains and also the extended Appalachian) is the highest in the north-eastern US, and the view from the top is gorgeous on a clear day. I went there yesterday (Aug 13) and we mostly drove (cars go up to the top of Mt W) and then hiked some. Though it was cloudy, the few glimpses we got from the summit were breath-taking. Its a 3-hr drive from Boston, so start early. -rahul.
