- This article is very recent article Jan 18th 2005. It is an update on how many detainees are still being held, and comments on ones that have been charged. The numbers seem accurate and doesn't seem too biased. It does stress the possible wrong doing by holding them without trail, but it isn't over the top. It speaks specifically of the Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, 04-702 case. It has been filed in different courts and is being tried soon. Good recent article. The POV is a cnn reporter. Contributed by Hondezy
- Half way through this article this sentence caught my eye, "A federal court judge had blocked the first trial and told the government to redo the plans to ensure defendants have more rights." So based on this article, it seems that the current situation is moving towards suspects to be given rights. This information is relevant because we can now find the reason for giving rights to these suspects or why the courts decided to hault the trial. And since this source is from cnn, i believe there isn't an alterior motive for writing this article. Good source. contributed by taquito
