Evaluation of McFarlane, Robert

Although this source does not specifically push a hydrogen energy conversion toward energy independence, it is still full of useful ideas. The author is for effectively curbing our nation's dependence on foreign oil, and he does a good job of supporting his view point. As this comes from the Wall Street Journal and the author is in the energy development field, the article's accuracy is probably very good, despite being a commentary. The article is written a bit like a proposal, so bias is certainly unavoidable. Nonetheless, it is still informative.
